JourneyMen When you first hear the words “Men’s Ministry” do visions of men gathered around a table drinking coffee with a Bible in hand come to mind? If so, it’s time for a paradigm shift. Men’s ministry is far more than just a Bible and coffee. Men’s ministry is about a faith journey that leads men to walk with Christ, be equipped to live like Christ and sent to work for Christ.

Men’s Ministry is all inclusive from serving as an usher, teaching a Bible study, singing in the praise team, helping with youth and children’s ministry, being on a leadership team, helping someone in need and yes, drinking coffee with a Bible in hand. Whatever the situation may be, “Together, we are a team for Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:12) and it takes many players to make a team – the JourneyMen.

“The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps” (Proverbs 16:9). What is important to men; Material possessions? Successful job? A loaded bank account? Entertainment? Or could it be Family? A Godly life? Serving others?

Being a JourneyMen is about your faith journey in Christ and becoming a devoted follower of Jesus. Gathering together with family and friends; growing together in God’s Holy Word; giving back to God in response to His saving love, and going to make disciples in the name of our triune God. Being a JourneyMen is a life devoted as a follower of Christ.

It’s a fact you cannot motivate a man to do things by telling him what to do. However you can help him “want” to do things that God desires him to do. Christianity is about heart transformation – not behavior modification. What is the greatest impact we can have on today’s family and society? Disciple men! No more just sitting around with coffee and discussing God’s plan – God’s plan is now and it’s time for a change. Be apart of a team willing to dedicated their lives to Christ. It takes many players to make a team with numerous gifts and talents. You are a team player – a JourneyMen!
